Art In Opera

Since 2009, Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point has hosted a fine art group show during the same time as its performance season. Known as the ‘Art in Opera’ show, it exhibits work by artists in the Eureka Springs area. Many of the artists generously donate prints of their work to the opera performers, and they also set aside a portion of the proceeds from their sales for a scholarship to help fund our summer program. The group show has included exhibits of acrylic, oil and watercolor, as well as beadwork, ceramic tiles, and fine art photography.

Since 2010, the Art in Opera exhibits have been organized by Carol Saari, a Eureka Springs artist whose interest in opera comes from attending performances at Opera in the Ozarks. She has exhibited art at many local art shows and participates in the White Street Studio Walk during Eureka’s May Festival of the Arts.

All works displayed during Art in Opera is available for purchase, with 10% of the sale price donated to the opera’s Scholarship Fund.
In 2013, 100% of the sale price of “Flowers for the Pianist” by Laura Lee Wilcox was donated to the Scholarship Fund.
